The “Canadian Seniors Drama” project, planned and produced by the Digital Media Development Association of Canada (DMDAC), will host a Special Christmas Event on December 22. Organized by DMDAC with the support of community partners, this event aims to create warm, engaging, and interactive holiday experiences that capture genuine, joyful moments in the lives of seniors, while conveying care, companionship, and the spirit of the season.
The event will take place at the Fotile Experience Centre in Markham, where community seniors will be invited to make dumplings, sing, and enjoy festive interactions together. Every warm smile will be captured on camera. The 2025 content series will also be released following the event. Seniors and their families are warmly encouraged to participate and help extend the spirit of the season throughout the community.

The event features a variety of engaging activities, including a dumpling-making experience, festive atmosphere decorating, joyful singing, and on-site prize draws. The aim is to help seniors feel the warmth of home and the companionship of the community during the holiday season. The program will be filmed simultaneously, capturing participants’ most genuine and heartwarming holiday smiles on camera.
Community members, senior family members, and friends are warmly invited to join and share a meaningful and heartwarming celebration at the end of the year.

Senior Registration
Eligibility:
✔ Aged 55 or above, regardless of gender, in good health
✔ Love life and be willing to participate in cultural activities and camera recording
✔ Willing to participate in simple rehearsals and activity schedule arrangements
Activities include:
- Participate in Short Film Recording to Capture Your Personal Story
- Learn basic singing, movement, and expression.
- Meet New Friends and Join Group Activities
- Event photos and videos will be shared on major media platforms.
